When Mitchell Golf moved from Dayton, Ohio to Albion, Michigan under new ownership, Tom Carr agreed to a one-year commitment to help with the transition. That was five years ago.
Now with 22 years of Mitchell Golf under his belt, Tom is ready to retire and is looking forward to knowing that the only variance of degrees he is going to have to worry about is the weather!
Tom is a man of many talents. He is a friend to everyone and is a talented mechanic (ASE Certified Master) and builder, a passionate fisherman, a race car driver, and, most of all, a family man. He and his wife, Julie, are planning to settle back into their home in Ohio, surrounded by their pride and joy – three children, six granddaughters, and one grandson.
We will always be grateful for the time Tom spent with us in Michigan. Tom has been a wealth of knowledge about parts, assembly, and the history of the company and the equipment. We appreciate his loyalty to the company, his flexibility, and his willingness to teach the next generation of Mitchell Golf Equipment builders.
Tom, thank you for your dedication. The shop won’t be quite the same without your presence (Patrick and Wesley are already tearing up). We will miss you and wish you all the best in this next phase of life! Congratulations!
Have a happy retirement Tom!
